William S. McKensie

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of William “Billy” Stephen McKensie Jr., who left us far too soon on May 13, 2025, at the age of 56. A devoted father, loving son, caring brother, and loyal friend, Billy touched countless lives with his laughter, his music, and his gift for lifting others up when they needed it most.

Born on July 20th, 1968, Billy was a bright light in the lives of all who knew him. He was a man of passion and purpose, dedicating much of his life to helping others through his work as a recovery therapist. His heart was enormous, and he had a special gift for lifting others up, often with just a few words and that unforgettable sense of humor.

Billy found joy in the simple things—playing his guitar, working out, and spending time with the people he loved. He was known for his goofy spirit, infectious laugh, and ability to make any room feel lighter.

Billy is predeceased by his father, William McKensie Sr. He is survived by his four beloved children, Joshua McKensie, Hannah McKensie, Zachary McKensie, and Emily McKensie, who were the greatest joys of his life. He also leaves behind his loving mother, Sandra Asimos; and his sister, Stephanie McKensie Berardis and stepmother Joanne McKensie, his Aunt Diana and Uncle Ike, and cousins Jamie and Adam Renshaw—all of whom will miss him dearly.
