Sandra A. Doherty

Sandra (Sandi) Ann Doherty, 70, of Little Egg Harbor, New Jersey, passed away peacefully at home on July 31, 2026. Born on November 9, 1955, in New York City, Sandi was the beloved daughter of Joseph and Eleanor Esposito. She spent her early years on Long Island, New York and moved with her family to Hazlet, New Jersey at about 10 years old where she stayed until she married. After moving around with her children, Sandi and her children settled in Ocean County, New Jersey. Sandi graduated from Raritan High School in 1973 and went on to build a successful career as a Pension Administrator.

Sandi will be remembered for her unwavering kindness, generosity, incredible strength, and selfless spirit. She was a devoted mother and grandmother whose greatest joy came from caring for those she loved. Her heart was truly one of a kind. She would have given anyone her last dollar or the shirt off her back if they were in need. Her compassion, warmth, and willingness to help others left a lasting impact on everyone fortunate enough to know her, especially her children.

She found happiness in life’s simple pleasures. Sandi loved coloring, watching her favorite television shows, shopping, listening to music, and, above all, spending time with her children and grandchildren. The memories she created with her family will be treasured forever, and the love she shared will continue to live on through them.

Sandi was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Joseph and Eleanor Esposito. Sandi is survived by her loving children, Thomas Doherty and his fiancée, Lianne Crincoli, and their children, Aiden, Kayla and Dylan Doherty; Christopher Doherty and his former wife, Toni Doherty and their children, Logan, Nicholas, and Donna Doherty; Danielle Ruiz and her fiancé, Nicolas Rola and their children, Cooper, Acacia, and Carina Rola. She is also survived by her sister, Lauren Hulse; her brother, Joseph Esposito; and many extended family members, dear friends, and all those whose lives she touched.

The family will hold a Celebration of Life in the coming weeks to honor Sandra’s remarkable life and the love she shared so freely with everyone around her.

Though our hearts are heavy, we take comfort in knowing that Sandi’s legacy of kindness, generosity, and unconditional love will continue to inspire all who knew her. Sandi is no longer in pain, she is no longer suffering and can finally breathe freely again. She will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never ever forgotten.
