Rosemarie Hickerson

Rosemarie Hickerson, 83, of Absecon, passed away May 29, 2025. Born in Camden, NJ, she grew up in Port Republic and lived in Absecon over 55 years. She worked in environmental services for Shore Memorial Hospital before retiring in 2005. She was a life member of the Cologne Fire Ladies Auxiliary, Lafayette Quilt Guild, Absecon Community Center for Seniors, Absecon Republican Club, Atlantic County Federation of Republican Women, Mainland Baptist Church, NRA and delegate for Women for Gun Rights New Jersey. In her free time, she enjoyed being with her family foremost, working in the yard, quilting, John Wayne, The Rifleman and President Trump.

Rose is predeceased by her husband, Samuel Hickerson; parents, Charles and Almyra Smyth; sisters, Almyra (Ed) Sears, Edith Smyth; and brother, George (Alice) Smyth. She is survived by her son, Patrick (Rachel) Hickerson and daughter, Sandra Hickerson; her brother, Charles Smyth; 3 grandsons, Andrew (Kelli) Hickerson, Patrick (Amber) Hickerson and Brandon (Kelly) Hickerson; 6 great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be 11AM to 12PM on Saturday June 7, 2025 at Parsels Funeral Home, 324 New Jersey Avenue, Absecon, NJ. A service will immediately follow at 12PM. Burial will take place at Germania cemetery. Online condolences, may be placed at www.parselsfh.com.
