Robert Nistico, 56, of Atlantic City, passed away peacefully on August 3, 2025, surrounded by his loving family after a brief but courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.
Born in 1969 in the historic Ducktown section of Atlantic City, Rob was the beloved son of the late Pasquale Nistico and Nancy (Pileggi) Nistico. To many known as “Nisty”, Rob treasured the close-knit neighborhood where he was raised and the lifelong friendships he built there. He was deeply rooted in his community and cherished the close-knit neighborhood where he was raised. Rob was known by many from White House Sub shop and Pete's Sub shop.
Rob is survived by the love of his life, his devoted wife Cathy (Bosak) Nistico, who stood by his side with unwavering strength and compassion. He was a proud and loving father to his son, Christian Nistico, and daughter-in-law, Sage (Carfagno) Nistico. Rob found immense joy in his role as "Pop-Pop" to his treasured grandchildren, Luca and Alessia Nistico, who brought him endless smiles and comfort. He is survived by his Uncle Pete Pileggi and his Aunt Marge Quigley and their family. Rob is also survived by his brothers Pete (Lauren) and EJ (Dominika), niece Gianna, nephew Giuseppe, and extended family members who will deeply miss his warmth, generosity, and sense of humor.
He is also remembered fondly for his gentle nature, quick wit, and the quiet strength with which he faced life’s challenges. His loyal canine companions, Bodi and Bailey, were never far from his side and brought him constant comfort and joy.
Robert’s memory will be held close in the hearts of his family and friends. His legacy lives on through the values he instilled, the love he gave freely, and the quiet dignity with which he lived.
A Memorial gathering will be held on Saturday August 9, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at Green Tree Church, 125 School House Rd, Egg Harbor Township, NJ 08234. The funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in Robert’s memory can be made to pancreatic cancer research or a local animal rescue organization.
