Ralph J. Santoro

Ralph J. Santoro, Sr., beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on July 27, 2025, surrounded by the family he loved more than anything.

Born on March 27, 1945, in the Chelsea Heights section of Atlantic City, Ralph lived a full and meaningful life, rich in simple pleasures and deep connections. For over 20 years, he faced cancer with quiet courage and unshakable gratitude, always thankful for just one more day.

Ralph spent the early part of his life proudly serving with the Atlantic City Beach Patrol for ten years, the perfect fit for someone who always loved the beach. That love never faded. He treasured his mornings on the patio, sipping coffee in his robe and reading the newspaper in the sunroom. He also continued to meet monthly for lunch with some of his oldest and dearest friends. These friendships remained strong throughout Raph’s lifetime.

His career in Atlantic City spanned decades, working in the casino industry and behind the bar, where his easygoing nature made everyone feel welcome. He made lasting friendships everywhere he went, but few things meant more to Ralph than his weekly poker games with his lifelong buddies.

Ralph was also an avid reader and a lover of football season, especially the family fantasy football league.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 44 years, Rebecca; his children, Vincent Santoro (Dina), Diana, Ralph Santoro Jr. (Laura), Anthony Santoro (Lori), and Alexandra Santoro; his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, all of whom brought him immense joy and pride; his brother and best friend, Michael Santoro (Francesca); and his sister Susan Spalluto. He was predeceased by his parents, Vincent (Fuzzy) and Kay Santoro.

Ralph will be remembered for his deep love of family, his gentle strength, and his ability to find joy in the simplest moments.

Services will be held Thursday, July 31, 2025, at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church in Absecon, NJ. where a viewing will be held from 9:00 to 10:45 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment following at Holy Cross Cemetery in Mays Landing.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
