Patrick (Pat) Hickerson

Patrick “Pat” Hickerson, 61, of Absecon, passed away unexpectedly on July 3, 2026.  Born in Montclair, New Jersey, Pat grew up in Absecon and made his home in Laureldale for more than 30 years. As a teenager, he proudly served in the Civil Air Patrol. Pat rode his moped to and from his first job at Oyster Creek Inn. He later worked as an armored truck driver before beginning a long and fulfilling career as a plumber, where his hard work and dedication were evident to all who knew him. As a self-employed plumber, he took great pride in his work and was always willing to lend a helping hand. Pat was a kind, humble, and hardworking man whose greatest joy was spending time with the people he loved.

Pat was predeceased by his parents, Samuel and Rose Hickerson; and his brothers, Samuel Hickerson and Gary Hickerson.

He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by his devoted wife, Rachel Hickerson; his children, Andrew (Kelli), Patrick (Amber), Brandon (Kelly), Jessica (Jonathan), Nicole (Matthew), Katie (Jared) and Taylor (Adam); his 16 grandchildren; his sisters, Sandy Hickerson and Nancy (Charles) Smyth; his brother, Charles (Linda) Hickerson; and many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Saturday, July 11th, 2026, from 10AM to 12PM at Parsels Funeral Home, 324 New Jersey Avenue, Absecon, NJ 08201. with a funeral service immediately following at12:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial donations be made to the Cologne Fire House in honor of Pat's memory.
