Patricia Scardilli

Patricia Scardilli, age 83, of Linwood, NJ, passed away on November 25, 2025. Born in Newark, NJ, Pat devoted her life to helping others. As a certified nurse, she spent many years caring for veterans at a VA hospital before continuing her work with the elderly in a nursing home. Her love for people was a natural extension of her deep love for God.

Pat spent much of her free time reading and studying the Bible. She had a lifelong thirst for knowledge and sought answers to some of life’s deepest questions. In time, this personal journey led her to baptism as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses on October 19, 2002, just shy of her 60th birthday. (Who says a leopard can’t change its spots?) From that day forward, Pat was eager to share the precious gems she discovered in the Bible with as many people as she could.

A devoted animal lover, Pat especially cherished the Bible’s promises of a peaceful future in harmony with all of God’s creatures—great and small—koala bears being among her favorites. When we welcome her back, we’ll be sure to surround her with as many of those gentle marsupials as possible. And purple—lots of purple. She could never get enough of that color.

Pat was predeceased by her parents, Helen and Rosario Scardilli, as well as her brother, Richard Scardilli Jr.
