Mona Edwin, beloved wife of Late Bitla Yesu Edwin, was born on January 6, 1940, in Hyderabad. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, faithful servant of God, and a blessing to all who knew her.
She was blessed with three daughters — Anita Uranus, Sunita Joyce, and Preeti Padma — along with her sons-in-law, Pramod Kumar, Pastor John Prem, and Sandeep Pasupuleti. She was a cherished grandmother to Dr. Jennifer John and Jeffrey John and his wife, Lacey John, and a proud great-grandmother to Levi John, Jared John, and Adam John.
Mona Edwin faithfully served at the Chelsea Presbyterian Church as a board member for many years. Her heart for ministry extended beyond the church walls, as she generously contributed toward the construction of many churches in India and supported numerous pastors in their ministries.
She worked in the medical field and also served as a teacher, carrying a remarkable work ethic throughout her life. Dedicated, compassionate, and hardworking, she touched many lives through her service and care for others. Through her perseverance, sacrifice, and determination, she played a major role in helping her family come to the United States and build a better future for generations to come. Her strength and vision created opportunities that continue to bless her family today.
A woman of deep faith and prayer, she often opened her home for prayer meetings and welcomed pastors with love and kindness.
In 2015, God fulfilled one of her deepest desires by allowing her to visit the land of Israel, a journey that brought her great joy and spiritual fulfillment.
Today, we take comfort in knowing that she is safe in the arms of Jesus. Though she will be greatly missed by her family, friends, and all whose lives she touched, her legacy of faith, service, love, sacrifice, and prayer will continue to inspire generations to come.
