Lucille G. Young

Lucille G. Young (nee Thomas), 65, of Absecon, passed away Monday, August 17, 2015 at Jefferson Hospital, Philadelphia. Born in Atlantic City, she lived in Egg Harbor City for 25 years before moving to Absecon a short time ago. Mrs. Young was an avid bingo player and loved shopping yard sales. She loved her grandchildren many, many worlds full and was a great support to them. She enjoyed attending their sporting events and spending any free time she had with them. She also enjoyed spending time with her sister-in-law, Peachie. She was a big sports fan, enjoying watching the Yankees and NY Giants football. Her dog Tasha was always by her side and her constant companion.

She is predeceased by her parents, George W. and Emily (nee Ray) Thomas; and her brothers and sisters, George Thomas, Jr., Janet Conover, Kathy Andrews, Elsie Knecht, Harry Thomas and Emily Brett. She is survived by her husband, Craig A. Young, Sr.; her children, Craig (Jacki) Young, Jr., Cory (Tammy) Young, Lisa (David Daub) Young and Lesley (John Kell) Young; her brothers and sisters, Kenny Thomas, Mary Unsworth, John Thomas, Howard Thomas, Herbie Thomas and Charlie Thomas; and her grandchildren, Samantha, Sarah, Austin, Brianna, Dawson, Blake and Jillian (Jilly Bean).

Viewing will be 11AM to 1PM, Saturday, August 22, 2015 at Parsels Funeral Home, 324 New Jersey Ave., Absecon. A service will follow immediately at 1PM. Burial will follow at Germania Cemetery, Galloway Twp. For online condolences, please visit www.parselsfh.com.
