Katherine J. Arlan (Hathorne), 85, of Galloway, passed away peacefully on December 21, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Born September 14, 1940, in San Pedro, CA, Katherine, affection known as Kathy, was the daughter of Emma and Albert Hathorne. She grew up in a close-knit family and carried the values of love and loyalty throughout her life. Kathy was a devoted mother to her daughter, Jeannie Bell (Steve) and son, Roger Arlan (Carol). Her role as grandmother and ‘Gigi’ brought her immense joy. She cherished every moment spent with her grandchildren, Katie Viecelli (Joe) and Emily Randazzo (Carlo), Ryan Arlan, Tara Quigley (Dan), Jimmy Mazza and Joanne Branin (Joe); as well as her 9 great-grandchildren. She shared deep bonds with her siblings: sisters, Florence Magee, Doris Haslam (Bob), Eva Ackley (Rich) and her brother, Fred Hathorne (Jennifer). She held dear the memory of her late sister, Patricia Johnson; brother-in-law, Jack Magee; and her treasured companion, Vince Mazza.
A passionate football fan, she proudly cheered for both the Dallas Cowboys and the Kansas City Chiefs, a testament to her loyalty and love for the game.
Her legacy is one of unwavering love for her family. May her memory bring comfort to all who loved her. Kathy will also be missed, most dearly, by her faithful canine companion, Lily.
