Karl Rudolph Kliokis, 48, of Mays Landing, passed away October 30th, 2025, at Jefferson Washington Township Hospital in Sewell, New Jersey.
Born in Baltimore Maryland on March 4th, 1977, Karl moved shortly after with his family to Hamilton Square, New Jersey, then Ohio for two years and back to Galloway, New Jersey for 19 more years, finally living in Mays Landing for the last 19 years.
Karl was a graduate of Absegami High School in Galloway, New Jersey where he was a member of the National Honors Society, received a National Merit Scholarship Letter and completed A.P. History and A.P. Precalculus classes. He also participated in many activities, including the Chess Club, Computer Club, Debate Club, Year Book and was a Senior Editor for the Literary Magazine.
He graduated Absegami 6th in his class out of 350 students and received a full, four-year scholarship to Trenton State College, now known as the "The College of New Jersey" where he pursued a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Computer Science. Here he participated in the Computer Science Club, Humane Society and worked as a Computer Technician in the computer lab. At Trenton State, Karl received the Edward J. Bloustein Distinguished Scholar award and made the Dean's List multiple times.
After college, he held various jobs such as; working in the Banquet Department at the then Marriott Seaview Golf Resort in Galloway, New Jersey, and working as a Research Assistant dealing with Nano-Powder and Unleaded Glass research at the Center for Ceramic Research at Rutgers University in New Brunswick, New Jersey. He later offered private tutoring services and was always making plans on how to become a Millionaire.
Karl enjoyed many activities such as chess, gaming and bike riding.
He is survived by his mother, Rosalie Kliokis (nee Billack); father, Julian Kliokis; siblings, Andrew (Christine), Teresa White her husband David, and Daniel. He's also survived by his niece, Tessa White, Uncle, Frank Billack and his wife Jane, Uncle, Rudolph Billack and Aunt, Nancy Kliokis (nee Couch). He was preceded in death by his Aunt, Christine Billack; Uncle, Dennis Kliokis; and his two dogs, Amber and Casey.
Visitation will be 10AM to 11:30AM on Wednesday, November 12, 2025 at Parsels Funeral Home. A funeral mass will be offered at 12PM at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, 591 New Jersey Ave., Absecon.
