She is survived by her four children and their spouses, Douglas, Laura, Patricia, Gregory, Rica, and Christine; her grandchildren whom she adored, Stefani, William, Christopher, Dana, Jeremy and Franklin; as well as her great grandchildren, Elijah, Parker, Elaine, and Isabella Maria. Joan is also survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Henrietta and Frank Collins; her brother, Robert Boyd; a beloved sister-in-law, Peggy; as well as many nieces and nephews, whom she cherished greatly.
Joan enjoyed her free time quilting, volunteering at the thrift shop at the Presbyterian Church, and walking the beautiful beaches of Brigantine. She could also be found regaling fond memories with all her dear nursing friends at “The Breakfast Club”, Norma, Doreen, Mary, and the rest of the “2 South Girls” whom she loved so dearly.
A nurse, a volunteer, a mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and the light of every room she ever walked into, Joan will never be forgotten; may she rest in eternal peace.
