James P. Tidcombe

James P. Tidcombe, Jr., 54, of Absecon, died Friday, July 29, 2011 at home. Born in Neptune, NJ. He had received his Bachelor Degree in Criminal Justice from Richard Stockton College.He then settled in the Atlantic County area, living in Absecon for the last 12 years. He had worked for over 30 years as a floor supervisor for Bally’s Park Place Casino in Atlantic City. He was a long time friend of Bill W. and a huge Yankees fan. Over the past few months, he enjoyed being a stay at home dad, watching James play baseball and Kiera tumble.

He is predeceased by his parents, Jim and Mary (Walsh) Tidcombe. He is survived by his wife, Laurie Moody-Tidcombe; his children, James and Kiera; his brother and sister-in-law, Tom and Laurie Tidcombe, of Jackson, NJ as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and close family members and friends.

Visitation will be 9AM to 12PM Tuesday, August 2, 2011 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, 591 New Jersey Avenue, Absecon. A funeral mass will be offered at 12PM in the church. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to your local chapter of the American Red Cross or the Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 11454, Alexandria, VA 22312.
