James (Jim) Fahy, 64, of Galloway, passed away unexpectedly on June 19, 2026. Born in Atlantic City, he grew up in Absecon, before moving to Galloway 35 years ago. He was Local 172 Heavy Highway Construction worker before retiring in 2017, after 30 years of service. He was a true craftsman who was never happier than when he had a tool in his hand. Jim enjoyed fishing in the bay, driving around the bird refuge and riding in the woods.
James is predeceased by his parents, Richard and Anita Fahy; sister, Marilyn; father-in-law, Richard Hudson; and brother-in-law, Bo. He is survived by his wife, Beverly; his son, Jimmy (L'sea); daughter, Danielle (Tony); grandchildren, Skylar and Tony; Fur babies, Ginger and Snap; his brother, Pat (Stacy); mother-in-law, Edie Hudson; Brother-in-law, Dicky Hudson (Betty); sisters-in-law, Lee Ann McGuigan (Bob) and Kim Bradford (Buddy); along with many nieces, nephews, cousins and lifelong friends who have become family.
A memorial gathering will be 10 AM to 12PM on Saturday, June 27, 2026, at Parsels Funeral Home, Absecon. In lieu of flowers please donate to Friends of Forsythe National Wildlife Refuge online. Condolences may be placed at www.parselsfh.com.
