Gregory S. Cipa

Gregory S. Cipa, 73, of Absecon, NJ, passed away peacefully on August 7, 2025. Born and raised in Northeast Philadelphia, Greg was a proud graduate of La Salle College High School and La Salle University, where he earned his degree in Accounting. 

During his college summers, Greg worked as a lifeguard with the Wildwood Beach Patrol an experience that not only shaped his love for the shore, but also introduced him to his former wife, Eileen (Sabol) Cipa. Together, they raised their family in Southampton, PA and Brigantine, NJ before Greg made Absecon his home in 2013. 

Greg’s career reflected his work ethic, leadership, and dedication. A respected business leader in the banking industry, he served as President and CEO of Fox Chase Bank in Hatboro, PA, guiding the bank’s development and growth across Pennsylvania and New Jersey and overseeing the opening of six new branches. He later brought his expertise to Gabriel Building Group as Vice President of Business Development until his retirement in 2013.

 In retirement, Greg embraced life along the coast and treasured time with his family. He enjoyed cheering on the Philadelphia Eagles and Phillies, watching classic sci-fi films, reading, listening to music, traveling to tropical destinations, shopping, and dining out. 

Greg was predeceased by his parents, Stephen and Irene Cipa. He is survived by his daughter, Cristen (Douglas) Owen; son, Craig (Jessie) Cipa; sisters, Sandy Kravitz and Cindy Kohler; and several nieces and cousins. 

A Celebration of Life will be held on 11AM to 12PM on Friday, August 15, 2025 at Parsels Funeral Home, 324 New Jersey Avenue, Absecon, NJ, with a commemoration service to follow at noon. Online condolences may be placed at www.parselsfh.com.
