Gary L. Wharton

Gary L. Wharton, 56, Fell asleep in death peacefully at home. "Boop" as he was affectionately called was a lovebug, he embraced everyone he came in contact with.  Gary loved baseball, dinosaurs, cheeseburgers and hotdogs and he had an infectious laugh. When he laughed, you could not help but laugh along with him.  His favorite sayings was "Debbie did it" and "preaching work" in which he helped others as best he could to learn about his God Jehovah.

Gary was predeceased by his mother, Annamae Wharton (Gary); Father, George Wharton; and Brother, Michael Jace Wharton.

He is survived by his siblings, Cathy Bryant (Gregory) of Egg Harbor, NJ, Maureen Roundtree, (Jerald), of Absecon, NJ, Deborah Ross of Galloway, NJ, Kevin Wharton of Sanford, FL, Yvette Reed, (Willie) of Lake Mary, FL, Jermaine Wharton of Louisiana, New Orleans; 3 nieces, Shayna Bryant of Atlantic City, NJ, Chelsea Reed of Lake Mary, FL, Ashley Reed of Rochelle, NY; 1 Nephew, Lawrence Hicks Jr . of Absecon, NJ; a special aunt, Thelma Gary of Englewood, NJ; and other family members as well as a host of spiritual family who was dearly loved by Gary.

Special thanks to Bayada Hospice and their staff as well as Bayada Home Health Care.

A gathering will be from 12:30PM to 2:00PM on Saturday, June 7, 2025 at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 3550 Bargaintown Rd., Egg Harbor Twp., NJ 08234.  A memorial service will begin at 2PM.
