Frances Meyers

Meyers, Frances (nee Herr), 86, of Galloway, passed away peacefully on October 27, 2011 surrounded by her family. Fran was born in Chester County, PA and spent her youth in the inlet section of Atlantic City. In her young years, she traveled the United States as a dancer with the Marion Mack Dancers. As a young dancer at the Erin Café in Atlantic City, she met her beloved husband, Harry Meyers. After marriage, they made their home in Venice Park. Fran’s many jobs included Copenhagen Pastry Shop in Atlantic City, Copsey’s Restaurant in Absecon and Caesars Restaurant in Mays Landing. Her last job was as a hostess at Old Country Buffet.

Fran is predeceased by her husband Harry; step-son Harry, III (Butch); parents, Morris and Eva Herr; sisters, Mollie Keyser, ‘Toots’ Tully; and brothers Leonard and Martin Herr. She is survived by her daughter, Nancy Ordille (Mike), of Absecon; granddaughters, Tiffany Reardon (Mark) and Amy Hanin (Carter), all of Margate, along with her great-grandchildren, Molly, Jack, Carly and Bryce; Franny is also survived by her daughter-in-law, Marie Meyers; and grandchildren, Sherry Meyers, Butch Meyers and Lisa Sutton along with 6 great-grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Fran’s Viewing from 9AM to 11AM, Tuesday, November 1, 2011 at Parsels Funeral Home, 324 New Jersey Ave., Absecon.
