She was a life member of the Absecon Volunteer Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary. She served as Mrs. Claus at the fire department’s annual Christmas festival at Heritage Park for many years.
Fran was a member of the Church of the Assumption in Pomona and then became an active member of St. Elizibeth Ann Seton Church in Absecon, where she sat on the social action committee, was a member of the church’s comfort ministry, a greeter, and assisted with many of the church’s bazaars. She was also a volunteer for many years at the Betty Bacharach Rehabilitation center in Galloway.
