Faye Mylenki

Faye Mylenki, of Las Vegas, formerly of Absecon, passed away on September 2, 2025, at the age of 66, after many months in the hospital, due to health complications. Faye was known for her warm smile, unwavering work ethic and generous heart. She touched the lives of many as both a dedicated waitress and proud owner of Petals of Absecon. For many years, Faye greeted customers with a cup of coffee and a kind word, making everyone feel right at home. Her laughter echoed through the dining room and she remembered every regular’s order like it was second nature. Later in life, she followed her passion for flowers and opened up Petals of Absecon where she created stunning arrangements that brightened weddings, funerals and every day moments. Her shop was more than a business – it reflected her warm heart and soul.

Faye leaves behind her loving husband, Pete Mylenki, who stood by her side until the end. She is survived by her son, Steven Patras (Mercedes); her grandchildren, Peter Patras, Noah Patras and Benjamin Patras. She is also survived by her sister, Helen Shinners (Greg); her brother, Nicholas Nouragas (Sandy); her honorary sister, Lia Potiris; her God-Daughter, Lea Koltoukis; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother, John Nouragas.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Faye’s viewing from 10AM to 11AM on Friday, September 26, 2025 at St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church, Mount Vernon and Atlantic Avenues in Atlantic City. The funeral service will begin at 11AM at the church. Interment to follow at Egg Harbor City Cemetery.
