Emma Virginia Bellinger

Bellinger, Emma Lippincott (nee Booth), 95, of Somers Point, passed away peacefully on October 24, 2012, surrounded by the love of her family, after a short illness. Emma was born August 1, 1917 to Harold and Armena Booth in Pomona, NJ. She had 4 siblings, Charles, Clara and Harold and a surviving younger sister, Elizabeth Booth.

In 1934 Emma graduated from Egg Harbor High School and then New Jersey Business School and loved learning new things. Emma was valued in a variety of jobs throughout her life, enjoyed travel, gardening, boating, playing pinochle and board games, and being at the beach. She was a longtime member of the United Methodist Church in Somers Point and a loving friend to all.

Emma will be greatly missed by her friends and two daughters; Patricia Scamoffa and Kathy Falciano, and stepdaughter, Mary bellinger; her grandchildren, Amanda Dyas (Robert), Carolyn Cooney (William), Amy Scamoffa (Tom), Michael Falciano, Jeffery Falciano (Rosa), Lara Falciano, and Michael and Christopher Bellinger; her dear great-grandchildren, Ayla, Alexandra and Lucas who were very special to her.

A memorial service will be offered at her Methodist Church, at Bethel Road and Doran Avenue, on Sunday, November 4th at 2PM, with a life celebration following the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Emma’s name, to a charity of your choice. Arrangements are under the direction of Parsels Funeral Home in Absecon and Pastor Eric Helms.
