Edward J. Miller

Miller, Edward, Joseph, 86, of Absecon, NJ passed away September 17, 2023. Born in Bronx, NY where he grew up and later moved to Old Bridge, NJ, before moving to Absecon, NJ 45 years ago. Previously he was employed by the USPS. He was employed by the PlayBoy Casino as a security guard for many years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy having served in 1957 and 1958. In his free time, he enjoyed sitting on the porch of the Absecon Inn waving to many passers-by and sketching whatever came to mind.

He enjoyed going shopping and having breakfast each Sunday with his best and loyal friend, Joe Boncheri.

Edward is predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Mary Miller; his brother, Brian Miller and his nephew, Andrew Bennett. He is survived by his sisters, Dolores Bennett and husband Earl of Aiken, SC and Maureen Stephens and husband John of Westminster, MD. Nieces and nephews, Trish and husband, Rob Dew of Austin, TX, David Stephens, of Terra Alta, WV, Matthew Miller and wife, Stockard of Seattle, WA, Paul and wife, Heather Stephens of Finksburg, MD, and Keith Bennett and wife, Kelly of Alexandria, VA and 10 great nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 2-4 at Parsels Funeral Home, 324 New Jersey Ave. Absecon, NJ, with a service being conducted at 3PM. Burial will be private.
