David N. Powell, Sr.

David N Powell, SR, 80, of Absecon, NJ, passed away July 24, 2026 at home surrounded by family. Born August 1, 1945 in Somers Point, NJ, he grew up in Pleasantville and Brigantine, NJ before moving to Absecon 20 years ago.

He was a Co-Owner of Lafayette Utility Construction before retiring in 2019. He was a veteran with the NJ National Guard. In his free time, David, affectionally known as Senior, enjoyed going to the beach, boating and spending time with his family.

David is predeceased by his Mother, Emily Sarah Powell-Davis; his Father, Arthur Powell; Brother, Paul Powell; and Sister, Billie Jan Snyder.
He is survived by his wife, of 58 years, Linda Powell, of Absecon; Brother, Ronald Powell; his sons, David N Powell, JR (Susannah) and Christopher; his Grandchildren, David, III (Hannah), Christian (Megan) and Olivia. He is also survived by his beloved Nephews, Tony Pontari (Erin) and Kenny Pontari; Niece, Allie Hunt (Darren); along with many others. David is also survived by 4 Great-Grandchildren.

Visitation will be  Tuesday, August 4, 2026 from 9:15AM -10:45AM at Saint Nicholas of Tolentine Church, 1409 Pacific Ave, Atlantic City, NJ with a Mass to follow at 11AM. Burial will be private.
