Born in Stratford, New Jersey, and raised in Atlantic City, Anne attended Holy Spirit High School, where she completed all twelve years of her education. During her younger years, Anne was a dancer and performed in Tony Grant’s Stars of Tomorrow on Atlantic City’s Steel Pier. Later in life, Anne spent most of her professional career at the corporate office of Spencer Gifts.

Anne's warm and kind nature, along with her outgoing personality, made those around her feel welcome. She treasured the relationships she built throughout her life and enjoyed traveling, spending time with family and friends, and making memories with those she loved most.

Anne is survived by her devoted husband of nearly 56 years, Edward Brown Jr.; her children, John Orlando, Jacquelyn George (Alphonse), Leslie Sanders (Robert), and Edward Brown; and her grandchildren, Jill, Jennifer, Ashley, Kirsten, Kayla, Rachael, Sydney (Christian), Megan, and Gwendolyn. She is also survived by nine great-grandchildren; her brothers, Robert Hardin (Lynn), and Joseph Hardin (Gina); her sister-in-law, Marilyn Lenhardt; many nieces and nephews; and cherished friends including Fran Crandall and Shelby Bell, who were like sisters to her.

She was predeceased by her parents, Roy Delmar Hardin, and Gertrude Peiser; her sister, Roxanna Hennessee; her grandsons, John Orlando Jr., and Christopher Orlando; and her sister-in-law, Dorthea Stone. She was also preceded in death by her dear childhood friends, Marie Dodd and Joanne Tierney.

During her final days, Anne was surrounded by the love and devoted care of her family, along with the compassionate support of the wonderful staff at NJ Health Hospice & Palliative Care and Griswold Home Care. Her family is deeply grateful for the kindness, comfort, and dignity they provided during this difficult time.
