Aden W. Steindl, Jr.

Aden W. Steindl, Jr. - On the evening of October 19, 2026, surrounded by his family, Aden W. Steindl Jr. left this Earth and began his eternal ride into the sunset.

Born on August 16, 1963, Aden was raised in Seaville, where his younger years were filled with riding dirt bikes alongside his father and brother, building cars, and staying out until the streetlights came on.

At 15 years old, Aden began working alongside his father in the family business, “Ace” Steindl Builders. After graduating from Ocean City High School in 1981, he continued full-time. By the age of 19, he had taken on responsibilities well beyond his years, helping ensure the success of the business while also being there for his family as his younger brother, Drew, battled illness. These early experiences reflected the extraordinary work ethic, sense of responsibility, and unwavering dedication that would define Aden throughout his life. He went on to build some of the most beautiful homes in the area, many of which still stand today as a lasting testament to his craftsmanship and the legacy he leaves behind.

After leaving the world of carpentry, Aden continued his career with Local 68 Operating Engineers, working at Trump Plaza and later the Golden Nugget. As shop steward and maintenance lead, Aden brought his strong work ethic and quick-witted humor to the job, creating a sense of camaraderie and lightheartedness that made his time there about more than just the work.

Aden lived a life full of intention, integrity, and earth-shattering strength. He was truly a man who defied all odds, doing what none expected and somehow accomplishing even more. Excuses were not in his vocabulary, and no sacrifice was too great for the people he loved. Whether it was family, friends, or neighbors, Aden was always the first to lend a hand. No repair was too small, no project too big, and if something needed fixing or building, he was there.

From childhood through adulthood, Aden built friendships that stood the test of time, keeping those friends close even through his final days. He gave so much of himself to others, finding joy in showing up and doing what he could for those around him. Above all, Aden was devoted to his family. His grandchildren held a special place in his heart, and no matter what life asked of him, he wanted nothing more than to be there with them, playing, making memories, and simply being their Pops.

His strength was matched by a kind smile that reached his eyes. He carried that smile through life with the belief that there was always something to do, somewhere to go, something to build, a Miller Lite to enjoy, a NASCAR race or NY Giants game to watch, and most importantly, a life to be lived. Few things brought Aden more happiness than getting on his Harley-Davidson and heading out for a long ride, with nothing but the open road ahead of him.

He is survived by the love of his life and his wife, Josephine (née Nanfara); his mother, Joan (née Tarves); his children, Samantha (Christopher) Notos and Aden (Jacqueline) Steindl; and his grandchildren, Josephine, Catalina, Lucy and Melody.

Aden was predeceased by his younger brother, Drew; and his father, Aden (Ace) W. Steindl, Sr.

On Sunday, November 1 at 1:00 p.m., a graveside service will be held at the Seaside Cemetery at 559 Route 9 South in Marmora, to celebrate his life.

The family requests that no flowers be sent. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Tunnels to Towers at https://t2t.org/. Or, in true Aden fashion, skip the flowers, enjoy an Orange Crush, and raise a glass in his honor.

To send flowers with our preferred florist or plant a memorial tree, please visit our flower store.
