Hewitt, Sr., Jack D., 72, of Galloway, went home to be with the Lord on February 13, 2019 after a long battle with COPD. Born in Philadelphia, he moved to South Jersey at the age of 5.

He is predeceased by his Mother, Bernice (Bauer) (Hewitt) Kelly; stepfather, William Kelly; his Father, William G. Hewitt; and his sister, Barbara (Hewitt) Kranich. He is Survived by his wife of 53 wonderful years, Jo-Ann (Ivey) Hewitt; Daughter, Wendy L. Hewitt (Peter); Son, Jack D. Hewitt Jr. (Theresa); four beautiful grandchildren, Ashli, Lailonni (Jared), Jack 3rd (Amanda) and Brandon; seven beautiful great-grandchildren; his brother, William Hewitt (Patricia); and many beautiful nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Jack worked as a Roofer for most of his life. After retirement, he worked at Atlanticare Cancer Center as a ‘Jack’ of all trades. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, but most of all being surrounded by his beautiful family. Jack was loved by so many and touched the lives of everyone that he came into contact with. Everyone he was around was sure to be smiling and laughing. He will be missed by all and will forever live in our hearts.

To honor his wishes there will not be a service. He asked to be remembered as you knew him. We ask for donations to be sent to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital (Email: donors@St.jude.org) or Mail to 501 St. Jude Pl., Memphis, TN 38105. For online condolences, please visit www.parselsfh.com.

I'm so sorry for your loss. In this time of sorrow, I hope to bring some comfort to the family. In 1 Corth. 15:26 it says: "And the last enemy, death, is to be brought to nothing." Yes, God view death as an enemy. In Job 14: 14-15 he will bring back those who are in his memory and to see them live on Earth again. What a joy it would be to see him again. May the peace of our God, Jehovah through his Son, Jesus Christ bring peace to your hearts. jw.org

JoAnn, I was so sorry to read of Jack's passing. I'm sending this because I will not get a chance to see you because there will be no service. I remember our childhood with great fondness. God bless you at this time. Trudy Hammell (trudyhammell@hotmail.com)

Daddy- Thank you for all the wonderful years of love and guidance you have instilled in me. You were the best father a daughter could ever ask for. You were so hardworking, loving, caring, patient, generace, and had the biggest heart I've ever known. You were my rock, and taught me not to be afraid to go after my dreams- but to be cautious, with a calculated plan. Your smile, laughter, beautiful blue smiling eyes, and your beautiful snow white hair will forever be in my memories! I will miss you so very much, no one will ever fill that void of what you ment to me. I will always be"DADDY'S LITTLE GIRL"! Thank you for being MY DADDY???????? You will forever stay in my heart daily,..... UNTIL WE MEET AGAIN?????? Forever Love, Your strong little girl Wendy
